Welcome Karl...

Just to say that we're proud to announce that we have a new bass player in the form of Karl Astbury. Karl is a Manchester native and was formerly in the excellent band The Witches.

He's currently helping us figure out how to play the songs from our new album. Speaking of which we're close to sorting out release dates and so on so more on that when we know it.
And finally, Sam will be playing some more solo shows over the next few months which should include some of the more mellow Nine Black Alps songs. Full list of tour dates can be found on his website at www.samforrest.com

- 27th February 2012Been a while since we updated this page but things are slowly coming together.
Our fourth album is finally finished, we got the final masters back this weekend and it sounds tight, alive and bright and kind of like 'a record'. People have been asking what it sounds like and I think it's kind of fast and direct with the odd weird bit.
We're going to spend the next month trying to figure out the best way of getting it to you but hope to release it late spring/early summer.
And, fingers-crossed, we'll try and get some live shows and festival appearances sorted for around that time too.
In the meantime, I (Sam) will be doing a few solo shows around the country in support of my new album 'The Edge Of Nowhere' (out March 5th), so if you come down to the show feel free to ask for a Nine Black Alps song and I'll see if I can ruin it for you…(more things announced at www.samforrest.com)

Sam Forrest
